Here are a few headlines ....
George Cameron had successful open heart surgery a few days ago. That makes at least 6 BGA guys who have had some kind of cardiac procedure while a member of this league. Must have something to do with the water. Actually, several of us thought that George was the guy causing the heart conditions in the rest of us. Best BGA wishes to our recovering comrade. Get better George. Fruity misses your money!
June 5th was the fifth week of BGA play and brought with it our first competition of the year. The BGA 4Ball Scramble was won by Tim Crist, Mark Neff, Ken Karl and Scott Kantorski with a blistering score of 34. I thought the winning score would have been a bit lower but I guess those guys couldn't make a putt that night.
Next up is our 3-Club Tournament which will be held on week #10. And just to clear up any confusion on the part of any BGA guys who work in Cheektowaga, "Week 10" means our 10th week of league play, not what should have been our 10th week if it hadn't rained.
