Your BGA

Here are a few things you should know about your BGA:

• 2013 season starts Tuesday April 23 at Chestnut Hill CC in Darien, NY
• Tee times start at 4:36 and run every 8 minutes thereafter
• We play 16 rounds over the summer
• Any week that gets rained out is added on to the end of the year
• Cost is $18/week which equals $288 for the season
• The BGA prepays for the year so you must pay CHCC $288 on or prior to April 23
• They accept cash, check, credit card
• We are allowed to play more than 9 holes each week if we desire extra punishment. The Kleins and a couple of HDP guys regularly take advantage of this.
• Handicaps are calculated by the league office on an intermittent basis
• Scores should be reported to the league president via email on the day following the round. It is encouraged that 1 member of each foursome be assigned the task of  emailing rjones1005@gmail.com 
• Although league competitions are optional, it is strongly suggested that all members participate in these events, including the year end BGA Championship. Continued and abusive abstinence from BGA functions may result in membership termination (see Cyreks, Jerry, et al)
• All members will have access to view the spreadsheet used to calculate handicaps and BGA Classic scores. However, you can not change or enter anything. This is specifically designed to prevent anyone from altering or "jacking up" their handicap.
