Here is a list of our events and how they work -

BGA Classic

This tournament lasts all year and is much like a 4 round tournament except ours is 16 rounds. Each week the players net score (strokes less handicap) is compared to par which is always 36 at CHCC. That score is added to the previous weeks' and the low score at the end of the year wins. Example: player's 9-hole handicap is 8 and he shoots a 45. His net score is 37 or +1. The next week he shoots 40 net 32 or -4 and that makes his tournament total -3 after 2 rounds. When a player misses a week, his score for that week is recorded as +3.

• Cost: $20. Payout: 1st = 60% of pot and trophy, 2nd = 25%, 3rd = 15%

3-Club Tournament

Each player removes all but 3 clubs from his bag and uses only those 3 for the round. Low net score wins. 

• Cost: $5 Payout: Winner takes all + trophy

Foursome Scramble

Each foursome plays scramble format. If any group is 1 player short, the players alternate hitting a 4th shot. No subs allowed to participate. Handicap is calculated by adding individual handicaps of each foursome member and dividing by 4.

• Cost: $5 Payout: Low net foursomesome splits the pot.

Partners Scramble

2 man teams are formed according to handicap seedings (lowest with highest). Teams play a 2-man scramble format. Low team wins. 

• Cost: $10 Payout: Low team splits the pot.

BGA Championship

18 hole handicapped tournament played at the end of the year party. Winner gets a trophy and bragging rights for the winter.
