Here's the announcement for Fruity's Jimmy Marino, Jr Memorial Tournament. This is the 11th year for this Make A Wish fundraiser and anyone who has been there has had a great time. Fruity and Kelly do a great job and it's hard not to get at least a little teary-eyed at the end.
Let's all get behind Fruity for this outstanding day. Donate, sponsor, sign-up, show-up, have fun!

Pebble Beach
Last October Coleen and I vacationed in California for a week or so. Most of the time we were in Napa (wine, not car parts) but we started on Monterrey Peninsula where they have some stunning views and a couple very famous golf courses. This photo was taken behind the 18th green at Pebble Beach. Always wanted to play there and still do but at least I can say I was there. Even have a putter cover to prove it that I'll be glad to show off this year. I watched a group play the 18th that day and they were hacking it up pretty good. Reminded me of the way some of us play the 15th at Chestnut except it cost them at lot more money for the priviledge. A bit more scenic out there though. Mid-season weekend tournament at Pebble anyone?
No golf courses in this shot but pretty cool anyway. Pacific coast along Highway 1 at Big Sur.

Backyard Putting Greens
Centerpiece of Mark Neff's backyard in his new Spaulding Lake home. Notice the left-handed rake in the bunker.
The Other Guys in Fruity's Foursome
Always good to have the Stooges back on the website ... Larry, George & Moe.
As a matter of fact, I'm thinking of getting these engraved and using for this year's trophies ...

Welcome to the 2012 BGA
The 2012 BGA will begin play on Tuesday, May 1st at the formidable Chestnut Hill Country Club in the rolling hills and wetlands of Darien, NY and if you're reading this, you are probably expected to attend.
This years BGA will consist of 16 highly competitive weeks of sub-championship golf and cocktail consumption and will be supplemented by wagers, whining and incorrect counting. Our roster is one less than last year with the departure of Mike "The Shiek" Tramuta who has moved on to a better league in his hometown of Dunkirk. Guess our money wasn't good enough for him.
According to the league packet I got yesterday, nothing much has changed except we are playing 16 weeks instead of 15. Dues are $272 for the year and payable directly to Chestnut on or before the 1st night of play.
Please note the BGA Schedule to the right listing this years important dates not to be missed. I have also added a new page that details the BGA competitions so there is no misunderstanding when Fruity wins them all. If anyone has any ideas for other fun events to break up the monotony of our weekly excursions, please feel free to submit them for vote.
